Stephen Collins, who played the kind minister and dad on “7th
Heaven,” allegedly confessed during a 2012 therapy session with his
estranged wife that he molested an underage girl and exposed himself to
two others.
TMZ has the audio recording of the alleged confession – and has posted it on its website – and now the New York Police Department is investigating.
Collins, 67, and his wife, actress Faye Grant, are involved in a nasty divorce. He filed papers in 2012 after 27 years of marriage.
On the tape, Collins can be heard admitting to molesting an 11-year-old girl, thought to be a relative of his first wife, and exposing himself to her “a couple of times.”
“There one moment of touching,” he says, “where her hand, I put her hand on my penis.”
TMZ reports that Collins did not know that he was being taped.
New York police reportedly have the tape and have started a criminal investigation into “inappropriate sexual contact” with at least three minors.
